Everton and Tottenham Hotspur played on Friday night. Gylfi Sigurdsson was captain and scored both of Everton’s goals in a 2-2 draw.

In an interview with Everton homepage he described this game as 2 points lost as the performance was allright:

We’re satisfied with the performance but disappointed not to take the three points,” Sigurdsson said. “Especially with the chances we had, it feels like we dropped two points.
“In our last home game against Crystal Palace [a 1-1 draw on Easter Monday], I don’t feel we played as well as we did tonight, even though we created a lot of chances in that game, too.
“I thought the performance, the defending and the pressing was a lot better tonight.
“We did a lot of work during the week – even though we didn’t have a lot of time after the Brighton game [on Monday].
“I felt the way we set up defensively worked fantastically and we managed to win a lot of balls in their half, which gave us a lot of chances to score – but we were just missing that little bit of quality at the end to finish the game off.”
