Valur signs Aron Jóhannsson and Heiðar Ægisson

Aron Jóhannsson who has played abroad for about a decade is coming back to Iceland. He is transferring from Lech Poznan in Polland but his contract was terminated after his injury in August and Aron wanted to focus on his rehabilitation in Iceland. Aron decided to play with the United States as he has also American citizenship. Valur introduced him as a new player today.
Valur also introduced Heiðar Ægisson as a new player but he is joining them from Stjarnan. Heiðar has played 128 games in the Premier League in Iceland.
These signings show that Valur means business next summer after ending in 5th this summer in the League and, therefore, is not eligible for European matches.
